Whether writing something original or copying and pasting off the web, there may be email or web address within that text. Apple’s Pages automatically detects those addresses, applies a specific text style and turns them into active links.
When you don’t want the link to be active, there are two ways to fix it.
THROUGHOUT THE DOCUMENT
If you would prefer that Pages not automatically detect a web or email address in your Pages document then you should change your preference setting.
1. Click on the Pages menu and select Preferences
2. Select the Auto-Corrections pane.
3. Uncheck the box labeled “Automatically detect email and web addresses.”
IN THIS CASE ONLY
If you would prefer to have only some of the links on the page active, while others not active, click on the Inspector button at the top of the window.
Select the link pane.
Check or uncheck "Enable as hyperlink."
